In April 2017, the La Linière humanitarian camp, built by Médecins Sans Frontières in Grande-Synthe (Hauts-de-France region), was evacuated following a fire. Two months later, many Kurdish refugees returned to the woods of Puythouck Natural Park, where they settled while waiting for a chance to cross to England. They adapted to this temporary stopping point along their migration route, which they called “Dunkirk”, the English name for the city of Dunkerque.

En avril 2017, le camp humanitaire de La Linière, construit par Médecins sans Frontières à Grande-Synthe (région Hauts-de-France) est évacué à la suite d’un incendie. Deux mois après, de nombreux réfugiés kurdes reviennent dans les bois du parc naturel du Puythouck, pour y vivre, le temps de réussir à passer en Angleterre. Les exilés s’adaptent à ce territoire de passage sur leur axe migratoire qu’ils renomment “Dunkirk”, traduction anglaise de la ville de Dunkerque.
